Is there anyone out there that hasn’t seen this delightful bird punch before? This was one of my very first purchases as a demonstrator and it is still going strong. AND the bird is not just a bird, it is a poinsettia, a tulip, a flamingo and the flame of a candle to name a few. On this occasion I used the punch as it was intended to be.
When the delightful Paige contacted me regarding her wedding stationery, her brief was very simple, hot pink, Manchester United and love birds. I instantly knew that Melon Mambo, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and the bird punch was a perfect fit for her. My task was to create place cards, table names and a seating plan in this theme. (I just LOVE jobs like this, the design, attention to detail and the repetitive work really is my cup of tea!)
And here is the design I came up with. 🙂 The place card for Nicola you can see in the top right square has a bird branches graphic from My Digital Studio in it which I just sized to suit, no other alterations were needed as it coordinated perfectly. The original stamp set is Serene Silhouettes Wood-Mount | Clear-Mount. I sent Paige a text message with a sneak preview of the stationery as it was mostly going to be a surprise and her response was fantastic. She loved everything. Phew!! It’s always very nerve racking revealing the final design, but so far, so good! Now I’m going to over load you with photos of the Bowland Suite at Lancaster House Hotel, Lancaster.
