The last weekend in September was my Paper craft Retreat at Ribby Hall, Lancashire. I’ve not found a moment to share some photographs with you as yet, so here is the first post of 3 or 4 to come over the next week. Today I’m showing you what we got up to on day one.
We had our own private crafting room, with large tables, lots of light and plenty of elbow space to spread out. The ladies arrived on Saturday morning to an individual parcel which contained a selection of Stampin’ Up! glue products to keep and use during the weekend. I themed the gifts in Crumb Cake, Hello Honey, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. I absolutely love these colours together.
On the first day I had three projects planned, a morning class with pastries, followed by a delicious lunch. Everyone was very spoilt with a hot and cold buffet, a salad, sausage, salmon cakes, quiche and yummy potato wedges. Then we were served a selection of chocolate deserts, tarts and a moose! YUM!
After lunch we completed two further projects with sweet treats between the two. So, as you can see the format for the day was craft while eating, craft, lunch, craft, more treats, craft and also we had unlimited hot drinks from the coffee lounge next door. Everyone was just bursting by the end of the day and all thought it would be a good idea not to have any breakfast to allow room for the food!
That’s the gifts and food covered for day one, please do pop back tomorrow when I’ll show you the crafting we got up to.
