Pinkies Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration 2015 Blog Hop

So come Tuesday 6th January 2015 the Sale-a-bration promotion will start! We are kicking it off with a bang this weekend with our Pinkies Blog Hop. What exactly is Sale-a-bration I hear you say?

Sale-a-bration is simply Stampin’ Up!’s best promotion throughout the year for customers, hostesses and new demonstrators. The ‘Big Day’ stamp set is one of the ten exclusive Sale-a-bration items you can choose from. Big Day is available in wood-mount or clear-mount and is a set of five stamps. I’ve stamped in Bermuda Bay ink onto a 2″/4.5cm strip of Whisper White card stock, and shaped the top into a tag using the Angled Tag Topper Punch.

I’ve stamped the ‘celebrate’ part of the stamp again onto Hello Honey card stock, then cut it out with my paper snips. Another section of the stamp I’ve stamped again is the word ‘cake’ which is on Pool Party card stock, then I’ve coloured it in using my Bermuda Bay Blendibilities Markers*.  *Coming soon!

To finish off the card I’ve stuck the tag on dimensionals, and used the gorgeous Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon and some Linen Thread tied into a bow on the tag.

Inside the note card I’ve layered Pool Party card stock onto Hello Honey card stock, and stamped two of the stamps. I love that the cake is left without any candles on, so you can add as many as you need. Here I’ve added the cake stamp in Whisper White Chalk ink to the front right corner of my envelope. I’m looking forward to making lots more birthday cards with this great freebie set.
