Happy Birthday card using dog from ‘Hey Girl’ stamp set

I wouldn’t normally go for a stamp set such as ‘Hey Girl’, but I adore the Scotty dog in it with the cute little bow on his collar. I’ve got my markers and blender pen out and coloured him in using various shades of Smoky Slate. When the 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue came out I fell in love with the funky stamp set that is Bohemian Borders. I’ve just got around to playing with it. I’ve just used one pattern here, but used two colours, Wisteria Wonder and So Saffron.

That shockingly bright green you can see is a brand new In Colour in the 2015-2017 Collection, called Cucumber Crush. My card design needed some oomph so I opted for Cucumber Crush using some Dotted Lace Trim. The lace is also new, it is soft and easy to pleat and also tie bows with because it doesn’t crease.
