Hi everyone, I’m really excited to be taking part in Kylie Bertucci’s first ever International Blog Hightlight. Kylie has invited us to share a card we’ve made based around the theme ‘Thank You’. You have 5 votes you can use by clicking the hearts in the top right, so if you love mine I’d love your vote over on Kylie’s post. I’m forever making Thank You cards to send out to all my customers for shopping with me, I love thanking them! I’m a huge fan of one layered cards with clean and simple stamping. White space on a card does not scare me, the more the better!
I’ve cracked open a new stamp set to the Spring Summer Catalogue called Apple of My Eye which features some fruit stamps. There’s an apple, pear, cherry and orange and it’s designed to have a greeting stamped directly into the fruits. For these cards I wanted to use the fruit as they are and have the colouring really stand out. So instead I’ve used the Thank you from another new stamp set, Helping Me Grow.
Cherry thank you card colours:- Tip Top Taupe for twigs, Watermelon Wonder for Cherries, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz for leaf.
Orange thank you card colours:- Crushed Curry base, then stamped around the edge on ink pad in Tangerine Tango for Orange, Tip Top Taupe for pips.
Pear thank you card colours:- Tip Top Taupe for twig, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz for leaf, Pear Pizzazz stamped onto card, then re inking stamp in Hello Honey, removing some around the bottom of stamp to give tone.
That’s all for today, please do stop by Kylie’s post on Friday/Saturday to see the other wonderful Thank You card entries from all over the world. I’m number 50 in the group, so there’s lots of inspiration waiting to be had! Enjoy x
I find CAS hard to achieve, but you have nailed it! I especially love the colouring of the pear! xx
