In Colour Week – Mossy Meadow Day

Mossy Meadow Day for Sarah Berry's In Colour Week from Stampin' Up! #stampwithsarah #stampinup

Every year Stampin’ Up!® release a brand new set of ‘In Colours’, which are a set of on trend colours which complement each other beautifully.  Each set of In Colours consists of 5 colours, which are only available for 2 years! Now that 2 years is almost up, it’s almost time to say goodbye to the In Colour Collection of 2014 – 2016.

Each day this week, Monday through to Friday, I’ll be focusing on just one of these colours per day. Today it’s the turn of Mossy Meadow, a colour that was a HUGE hit at for Christmas 2015. I could not order the A4 card stock and ink quick enough. The green is the perfect evergreen colour for your Christmas tree stamps, for that reason alone it’s a must!

The card I’ve designed using Mossy Meadow, features the free Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Flowering Fields. It’s a set of 7 stamps and is one of the free stamps you can choose from, when you spend £45 in my online shop (or over the phone) with me until 31st March. So if you love this set as much as I do, you’ve got just 3 days to redeem it for free.

So I’ve paired the Hooray! stamp with a wooden embellishment, from a pack called Expressions Naturals Elements. The wooden pieces come plain in colour, so I’ve taken my Mossy Meadow maker pen to it, and coloured it in. From there I’ve covered it in VersaMark ink, which is a clear tacky ink, which is perfect for adding embossing powder to. Can you see the shimmer on the word? That’s the clear embossing powder after it’s been heated shining in the light. You’ve got to work quickly to get this effect, I’ve heated and dipped the thanks in the embossing powder 3 times here to achieve this raised look.
