Hello everyone, thanks for visiting me today. Last week’s In Colour Week was a huge hit with you all, thank you for all your comments and feedback. I’m going to continue my themed weeks and I’m jumping straight in with casing another fellow demonstrator.

The demonstrator I’ll be casing is Bruno Bertucci, who is a supporting demonstrator for his wife Kylie. They’re a fun, Australian couple who both share a passion for card making. I think it’s so nice that they both share their love of Stampin’ Up! together. Bruno’s cards always catch my eye, everything is uniform, straight and likes to use a bit of pattern. Stampin’ Dimensionals (otherwise known as foam pads) are Bruno’s best friend – which I love! So let’s crack on with our first card for this week.

The Playful Pals and thinlits bundle #stampwithsarah #stampinup

Towards the back of the Spring/Summer Catalogue 2016, you’ll the Playful Pals bundle. As soon as I saw this at OnStage Live in November, I knew I just had to have it for the boys. BUT, I am yet to play with it, shocking right? I’ve had so much new product from the Spring/Summer Catalogue because it is all amazing, this bundle was next on my list to try out. Bruno is the one that’s inspired me to do so. He’s created so many different animals using the stamps and dies, they’re all so cute!

Here’s Bruno’s card and the owl he made, isn’t it cute? I love the bow tie, which seems very familiar to his own portrait photograph above. Hmm.. I’ve had a play and here’s what I’ve come up with.

Playful Pals owl card, inspired by Bruno Bertucci 'stampwithsarah #stampinup

Here’s my version of the owl, I was thrown a little at first because I’m completely out of the Go Wild pattern papers, so I improvised with a sheet of marble effect paper from the Going Places stack. I thought the marble would look a bit like the bark of a tree trunk. The triangles on the owls tummy are really cute so I wanted to highlight those a little more with Gold embossing powder. I continued the use of the triangles making a pattern down the side.

Thank you for popping by today, while you’re here why not leave a comment or check out April’s Prize Draw? One lucky person will win an Ink Pad Caddy and 5 ink pads of their choice, that person could be you! Find out how to enter here.
