Beautiful heart trees using Vertical Greetings Stamp Set by Sarah Berry for Hello! Annual Blog Hop Week 7

As I always do I set out on a Pinterest search for inspiration. These are some of the topiary trees I found which are just like the trees in the stamp set. Now when you look at these trees, the leaves are various shades of green, so I recreated this using the ‘baby wipe’ technique. The baby wipe technique sounds worse than it is (!) but it’s simply a few layers of folded baby wipes, inked up with an ink refill to create our very own ink pad in multiple colours. Not a baby in sight. Haha! I’m really pleased with how the trees came out here.

Vertical Greetings Inspiration

Isn’t the Vertical Greetings stamp set interesting? I don’t recall a stamp set like this ever before, the way the greetings are aligned is really different and works well with these trees.

Tree Builder Punch£16.00

Here’s a close up of that baby wipe technique for you, isn’t he mix of greens lovely? I think it really brings the trees to life. For interest I stamped the centre tree slightly lower, and also decoupaged it to make it appear closer. The finished decoration is taken from the Tree Builder Punch, the tiny flower is the perfect size, topped off with a small pearl.
