Hello everyone, welcome to my website. My name is Sarah Berry and I’m a demonstrator based in Morecambe, Lancashire, UK. I’m so thrilled to be invited onto the Be Inspired Design Team. We’ll be forming blog hops every two weeks, on a Thursday. This is our second hop as a new group and so far it’s going pretty well. I heard great feedback from you all and your comments were wonderful – Thank you! You can pop back here every other Thursday to see our awesome creations, the next hop is Thursday start hopping on Thursday 23rd February 2017. Alternatively you can add your email to my mailing list below.
Never miss a Be Inspired Blog Hop – If you’d like to receive a notification about our next hop, you can sign up for an email here –> http://bit.ly/BeInspiredEmail.
For this hop our theme is Cupcakes & Carousels, for those of you who aren’t familiar with Stampin’ Up!, this is the name of a suite that can be found in the Spring/Summer / Occasions Catalogues. (Request your free catalogues here —> http://bit.ly/FreeSUCatalogue) If you’re continuing to hop around, you’ll have arrived from Nadine Hößrich, to continue around simply use the next blog button to continue onto the next team member. I’m so excited to see what everyone’s made today!
I was a little on the fence regarding this Carousel Birthday stamp set, but I’m so pleased I got it because of the horses! I’ve stamped them on Whisper White cardstock in Archival Basic Grey Ink to create my own background. I love to make repeat pattern with my stamps. I find it so enjoyable.
I’ve kept the colours to a minimum, with Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay and a tiny touch of Daffodil Delight on the star, which is from the Brights Enamel Shapes pack. LOVE THE EMAMEL SHAPES!!!! I have a fair few of them.
Another of my favourite things from the new catalogue is the doilies, these are so sweet. They’re far from the doilies that you present food on! Ha! They are much more up market and make from thicker paper. The wonderful thing is that there’s absolutely no loose bits of paper that hasn’t been pushed out when manufacturing them. They’re also perfect for adding colour to with Stampin’ Up!’s amazing sponge brayers. If you’ve not seen these, take a look they open up so many other possibilities to adding colour to your cards.
When you open up my card you get a surprise down the centre is a piece that sticks up, to hold your money or gift store cards, maybe even a Stampin’ Up! gift voucher or two? 😉 I’ll be sending a free tutorial out to those of you who are on my email mailing list later on today. It’s a really great effect and is very simple to create when you know how. Sign up to my email mailing list to get your free tutorial —> http://bit.ly/BeInspiredEmail.
