Hello everyone, welcome to this weeks hop! This week we’re focusing on the 2017-2019 In Colours. You’ve probably arrived here from Maike Ulbrich, or if you’re just starting out you can continue hopping around our posts using the next button at the bottom.

The 2017-2019 In Colours are a set of five colours, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide and Powder Pink. My favourite has got to be Berry Burst. I was chuffed to bits when I saw a new colour with my surname.

The Number of Years stamp set with the Numbers Dies has got to be one of my most used sets. Just for an idea of size, the numbers are roughly 2 inches tall by 1 inch wide and perfect for Birthday cards and also Wedding Anniversaries.

I have a lovely helper visit sometimes to help with the day to day running of my business also for work experience, she’s turning 18 this week. So I’ve made her a birthday card to celebrate her birthday. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon with the Eclipse technique that has got everyone eager to have a go. It’s really very easy and looks stunning when it’s finished.

With my Eclipse card, I’ve stamped the beautiful flowers from the Number of Years stamp set, using Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. The Whisper White piece is from Thick Whisper White card to give the numbers more strength when they are raised up on the card.

I’ve added an additional step to my numbers, where I’ve covered them in Versamark ink and dipped into Clear Embossing Powder. Using a Heat Tool [UK | EU], I’ve heat embossed the numbers. When they are in position on the card, they look stunning and the glossed numbers really catch the light and it emphasises the numbers. The ombre look in the background is simply pattern paper cut to size, from the Colour Theory Paper Stack.

And as always, I finished the card off with a coordinating insert which has been stamped with the flowers once again. Thank you for visiting today, next up is my beautiful friend, Louise Sharp in Australia!
