Sarah Berry Stampin’ Up! UK Independent Demonstrator | Global Design Project – Colour Challenge #GDP145
Today it’s time for another Colour Challenge from the Global Design Project. The colours go very well together, Grapefruit Grove, Fresh fig and Mint Macaron, it’s a gorgeous colour palette, don’t you think? I’ve really enjoyed playing with the inks for this weeks card, mixing a little new product in with what I already owned. Please do leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you!
The Happy Birthday Thinlit Die has been die cut about five times, out of Thick Whisper White cardstock and also the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. If you’ve not tried the Adhesive Sheets and you do a lot of die cutting, then I would encourage you to give them a go. The sheets have made layering up and gluing the layers together VERY simple and I didn’t end up covered in wet glue.
I’ve taken a close up of the layers, isn’t it a cool effect? Before I die cut the top layer, I sponge brayered the three colours onto the card stock.
The balloons in the background have been stamped from a new release in the catalogue, Blow Out The Candles stamp set. I didn’t stamp the balloon in full strength ink, I made sure I stamped off first onto scrap paper. To finish off, I’ve added three pretty adhesive backed sequins for a touch of sparkle.
