Sarah Berry Stampin’ Up! UK Independent Demonstrator | Day 1 continued – Space Needle | Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip 2018

Next up on our tour of Seattle took us to the Space Needle, it was built in 1962 and the place of the famous scene in the movie, Sleepness in Seattle.

This is the sight you face when standing underneath the tower, it has  a couple of lifts that go up the centre of the tower with windows so you can see out as you ride up to the top.

Once you get to the top you’re faced with an amazing view, you can normally walk completely 360 degrees around the top, but it is undergoing renovation works.

Here we are sat on glass seats which want you to sit sloped backwards to lean on the glass to the outside. Tom managed to sit right back, but I was too nervous to do so. Eeek!

What a view! We finished off the day with a ride on the Mono Rail which was built at the same time as the Space Needle. It’s a fun way of getting about the city, with the road and city traffic below you.

See you again tomorrow for day two of our time in Seattle.
