Sarah Berry Stampin’ Up! UK Independent Demonstrator | VIDEO – Snowy Christmas card with the Spirited Snowmen stamp set from Stampin’ Up!

Hello! I’m back with another Christmas Card design, made using the Spirited Snowmen stamp set. This set is a new release to the Autumn Winter Catalogue, and when I first saw it, it jumped out at me, I love anything to do with colouring in. I always have loved colouring in, and so this is the perfect stamp set for me.

The three snowmen images in the set are all really simple to colour in, and I’ve chosen to use Stampin’ Up!’s Watercolour Pencils. In that pack, you get a great range of colours, and all you need is one of our Blender Pens and you’re well away.

I recommend the Blender Pens for water colouring, rather than using an Aqua Painter or fine paintbrush because there is no need to control the flow of water. In fact, the Blender Pens are what my boys call ‘Magic Pens’. Inside is a transparent fluid, which you can’t even really see! To be honest, when you get them you might even think they haven’t been made correctly!!! But, I promise you that they do work and all you do is simply go over your colouring in. The fluid mixes with the watercolour pencil marks and smooth it all over, creating a perfectly coloured in image. It’s as simple as that! Great results with really minimal effort.

Today’s video shows you colouring in of these snowmen images in close up detail. It’s always great to see a card made from start to finish.

Base Card – Thick Whisper White, 21 cm x 14.8cm, scored at 10.5 cm.

Layer 1 – Pool Party, 10 cm x 14.3 cm.

The Softly Falling Embossing Folder is SO popular and I can see why. It’s perfect for this time of year, just giving a sprinkling of embossed dots. I’ve added extra snowflakes for a little extra interest, do this before you emboss.

So what do you think, these Christmas cards are really getting me in the mood for Christmas AND they’re getting Matthew and Adam excited. It’s only September!! It’s officially 102 days until Father Christmas comes everyone! We’d best get busy crafting!
