Today I have a post which is a little bit different for you! I’ve been invited to hop along with Kylie Bertucci’s Crazy Crafters team. Thank you Crazy Crafters, for having me as your special guest today.

Everyone taking part today will be casing a project of mine, whether it be a card layout I’ve used, perhaps a colour palette once. I’m excited to see what everyone has used as their inspiration piece. I get the fun job of trying to case myself!

I’ve not gone too far back to find my inspiration, I’ve selected this card from Wednesday 19th September. I’m currently ADDICTED to all things that shimmer, and Stampin’ Up’s new shimmer paints really add that extra WOW to your projects.

The card on the right is Wednesday’s card, featuring the Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint, partly sponged over Basic Grey cardstock. For the card for today, I’ve sponged the shimmer paint in Frost White all over a layer of pink, called Lovely Lipstick. Doesn’t it look like I’ve created a sheet of pearlescent cardstock? I told you it is an addictive technique, I think I may be turning everything into shimmer!

The great thing is the paint dries in no time at all, all you need is a light dusting and nothing comes off onto your hands. I’ve added a little of Brushing Bride Reinker into a pool of the paint, mixing it up turning it into a light shade of pink shimmer. WOW! Just use a dry aqua painter to colour in the beautiful flowers. I’ve added highlights of Lovely Lipstick Marker Pen to bring the flower to life.
