Sarah Berry Stampin’ Up! UK Independent Demonstrator | Global Design Project – Theme Challenge #GDP167

December is here! Our Christmas tree is up and we’re decorating the house so I’m starting to get that Christmasy feeling. Are you? It’s not too late to make your Christmas cards, and the team and I over at the Global Design Project might just have a few last minute card and decoration ideas for you.

Our theme today is ‘Tis the Season, so that’s all things Christmas. If you have a blog and you’d like to share your Christmas card designs with us why not head over the the Global Design Project blog and enter yours into this week’s challenge? You could be drawn as our winner!

One of my favourite sets this year has got to be the Dashing Deer stamp set and coordinating dies [Clear-Mount Bundle | Wood-Mount Bundle] from the Autumn Winter Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. We’ve entered the last few weeks of this catalogue, and the majority of the products in the catalogue will retire when the catalogue ends on 2nd January 2019.

The Dashing Deer set is such a brilliant set and features a stunning large deer with a beautiful flourish pattern on it. For today’s card I’ve chosen the two smaller reindeer, stamped them in Early Espresso and die cut them out.  The hint of glimmer gold is made using just one punch out of the Sprig Punch.

To finish off the card I’ve added a touch of gold metallic thread and a few Red Rhinestones. The ‘Happiest Christmas Wishes’ has been stamped in the background in Real Red ink, several times. They overlap each other behind the circle, but that’s okay because we don’t see it.

I hope you like my Dashing Deer Christmas card today. Thank you for visiting, you can find lots more projects made inspired by our ‘Tis the Season theme, from our talented design team at the Global Design Project. Why not have a go yourself and upload your design to the challenge? Have your entry in by 7am GMT, next Monday 10th December 2018, the winner will be announced that day.
