Sarah Berry Stampin’ Up! UK Independent Demonstrator | Global Design Project – Case the Designer #GDP212

This week over on the Global Design Project we are casing our fellow designer, Manuela Geiswinkler. You can find Manuela’s blog here. I’ve been inspired by the one large image which is the collection of layered stars, so I took that as my starting point to case Manuela. I’ve had a new stamp set and die bundle arrive here this week, it’s called Peaceful Boughs and is featured in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. I thought I’d get this set out and get it inky!

I’ve chosen quite a simple colour palette for today’s card because I wanted the main focus to be on the greenery and pinecone. So the card layers are Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I stamped the bough in Old Olive, and used a Blender Pen to colour in the greenery and the brown in Soft Suede on the branch.

The snow effect I’ve added was from a must-have product for when making your Christmas cards! It’s the Shimmery White Embossing Paste. It’s very easy to add, just use a point from our Palette Knife Toolset to spread it onto the card. Let it air dry, it will not take very long. When using the paste it is important to remember to clean your palette knives quickly, and also put the lid onto your tub again. The paste air dries and so you need to make sure you tidy up the paste.

Peaceful Boughs Bundle, found on page 15 of the Autumn Winter Catalogue. Also available in German and French.

Thank you for visiting, you can find lots more projects made inspired by our case, from our talented design team at the Global Design Project. Why not have a go yourself and upload your design to the challenge?
