Sarah Berry Stampin’ Up! UK Independent Demonstrator | Painting with the Wink of Stella brush!
I’ve been playing with my favourite stamp set at the moment, the brand new release called the Ornate Style stamp set. I can’t get enough of this large floral stamp. For yesterday’s card, I stamped it in Memento Black, then coloured with Stampin’ Blends.
For today’s card, I’ve stamped it in Old Olive ink, which is a green onto Whisper White Thick cardstock. I’ve selected a few of my ink pads to use for colouring in the image. Now, I LOVE to colour with a tool which you might not have first thought! That is my Wink of Stella brush pen. A Wink of Stella is a paintbrush pen which is full of glimmer paint. You simply pick up ink directly from the ink pad. Now, just keep in mind that this will add a touch of shimmer to your ink pad. It will not damage it in any way. I choose a corner of the ink pad, or along the edge to pick up some ink.
The magical thing about it is, it creates a lovely shimmer as you paint. The colours I painted with are; Old Olive, So Saffron, Terracotta Tile and Early Espresso. What do you think, perhaps you’d like to give this a go?
