The Beautiful Day stamp set is retiring! It’s featured on the Last-Chance List for 2020, and you know what that means, it’s available while supplies last.
It’s been in our Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue for probably 3 years now, and each time I use it I’ve coloured the butterfly differently. Here are a couple of blog posts featuring this lovely butterfly.
This time I’ve created a blue ombre effect with my Stampin’ Blends, Balmy Blue Combo and Pool Party Combo. I started with one wing at a time, colouring that completely before moving onto the second wing. I did this because it is important to keep that alcohol from the pen wet to create the blending.
I started with Balmy Blue Dark on the outer edge, moving onto Balmy Blue Light, then into Pool Party Dark and finally Pool Party Light. A last little touch was to cover the butterfly in Wink of Stella. Just look at that shimmer! <3
