Autumnal feeling with the Walk in the Woods stamp set

I cannot tell you how excited I was to see a hedgehog stamp in this years Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. I love that we have this cute little hedgehog, he’s perfect to colour in with Stampin’ Blends but also our Blender Pens which are something completely different.

To create the hedgehog I stamped it in Soft Suede ink, then picked up some Soft Suede ink with my Blender Pen to add colour to his spikes. For the face and tummy I picked up Crumb Cake ink with a touch of Cajun Craze to add a little blush to his cheeks. We all know hedgehogs can blush don’t we? Haha!

It is possible for colouring with a Blender Pen to be smoother, but I like how it was quite rough looking so I left it like that.

Underneath the die-cut layer, I stamped the leaf in different Autumnal shades. Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Cajun Craze. I then took the Blender Pen again and coloured in some of the leaves. Again, I like the rough watercolour look, so left it coloured like that.
