The leaves on the trees are changing and falling to the ground. I’ve been inspired by our walk into school everyday, past the trees which have slowly changed to various shades of brown and orange, then make a crunch sound under their school shoes!
I’ve created a wreath with several leaves punched out from either the Gilded Autumn pattern paper, or stamped with the Beautiful Autumn stamp set, onto cardstock and then punched out. Both the stamp set and the punches can be purchased together and you save 10% on the Beautiful Autumn Bundle.
The Gilded Autumn pattern paper is very pretty and special with its copper and gold foiling on one side of every sheet. The patterns feature leaves and an acorn which matches the coordinating set of punches.
You need to take your scissors to the leaves on the pattern paper, cutting very roughly around. You’re then left with a shape which will go into the punch perfectly.
TOP TIP – Add a sticky note to the back of your pattern piece, ready to punch out. This will help you move your shape into the punch as you won’t be able to reach after you’ve cut them all out roughly.
The only shape on the wreath which doesn’t have a matching punch is the pinecone. This was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Soft Suede card stock then cut out quickly with scissors.
The leaves all have Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back and are layered on top of each other.
TOP TIP – If you wanted to you could draw around a circle with a pencil to help keep that circular shape as you build your wreath if you found it a bit tricky. The pencil would be hidden by your leaves on top.
