One Design, Two Ways! | Seasons of Fun stamp set

Today I’m bringing you a new style of post, where I show you one card design, but in two different ways. I tried my hardest to think up a catchy title for this, but the best I can come up with is “One Design, Two Ways!” I hope you enjoy this post!

My card layout ideas are always simple. Very simple! That’s just my style. I like to keep layers to a minimum and I do try to use as few products as possible, aside from the tools and glue that we all needs as paper crafters. So if you enjoy simple cards, you’re in the right place.

The two cards I have to show you today have just a few differences. By using the same cardstock, pattern papers, dies, stamps and colouring in, all I’ve done is simply create one card in portrait and the other in landscape.

Seasonal Labels Dies 156299

CARD 1

STEPS TO MAKE THIS CARD – Portrait

  1. Misty Moonlight card base, an A4 sheet cut in half. (You will create two).
  2. I found out the new Seasonal Labels dies, which you can find in the new Mini Catalogue for July – December (you can order a copy here) and cut out the largest label in Basic White Thick, and also another in Mint Macaron cardstock.
  3. Stamp the girl in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the middle of the white die cut, in portrait!
  4. Colour your stamp with blends.
  5. Cut a piece of Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper, measuring 5.25 x 14.8 cm. Make sure you look at the direction of the pattern before you cut it. Adhere this to the card on the left.
  6. Cut the Mint Macaron die cut in half. Adhere these pieces to the top and bottom of the white die cut.
  7. Then we are chopping these two layers together. Cut on your trimmer, underneath the snowy ground.
  8. Die cut the label in Basic White cardstock and stamp the Happy Christmas from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set.
  9. Add double sided tape to the white label with Mint Macaron behind it. We are going to stick the girl on the card first, then the bottom cut next. Leave a centimetre gap and then cover it up with the Happy Christmas label which is on foam pads.

CARD 2

STEPS TO MAKE THIS CARD – Landscape

  3. Stamp the girl in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the middle of the white die cut, in landscape!
Adhere these pieces to the left and right of the white die cut.
  7. Die cut the label in Basic White cardstock and stamp the Happy Christmas from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set.
  8. Add double sided tape to the white label with Mint Macaron behind it. We aren’t going to cut this this time.
  9. Position the Happy Christmas label over the bottom edge, just under the snow on foam pads.
Seasons of Fun Host stamp set 156576

The beautiful stamp today is from the Seasons of Fun stamp set, which I’m thrilled with! There are three large images of children, one dressed up for Halloween, one playing in leaves (can you spot the cat?) and the last is pulling along a Christmas Tree in the snow. Don’t forget the little dog and the little extra decoration stamps too!

This is a reward stamp set, meaning you can choose this, and get this for free as part of your Stampin’ Rewards, when hosting a qualifying crafting party, or by simply spending £150 in one go.

You can find this in the Mini Catalogue for August – December 2021, on page 78.

These cards are wonderful and fun. I love seeing the same design on two cards. Your coloring is awesome. Enjoy your day!
